The Tech 10 has set the performance and protective benchmark for motocross boots for over a decade. In summer 2018, a completely redesigned Tech 10 raises the performance bar even further.

Perfection through innovation: while maintaining the iconic look of the Tech 10, the new boot represents a completely new approach, improving the ability to offer the rider maximum feeling, comfort and safety.

The redesign of the Tech10 was guided by three priorities: the Alpinestars technical development team sought to improve overall functionality, performance and safety, reduce weight and material volume.

Maximizing these priorities is the key success of the new Tech10, and the result is an all-new boot with greater freedom of movement and flexibility that offers better control over bending and torsional forces that significantly improve the performance of the boot, offering the rider greater protection and confidence.

- The comfort of the Tech 10 is legendary, and is a key feature in making the boot pleasant to wear in all conditions.

It is essential to maintain the feel of the boot while improving performance, functionality and safety.

The most significant performance improvements of the Tech10 are proprietary technologies: the Frontal Flexion Control Frame, the Asymmetrical Dual-pivot Arms, the Dynamic Heel Compression Protection Shock Absorber, patented and integrated into a redesigned foot structure with a thinner and more tapered sole. Reduced weight:- The Tech 10 is lighter, a result obtained by Alpinestars technicians studying all the components of the boot and their connections. A redesign of each component was carried out to reduce weight and volume.

New lighter and stronger composites have been created to withstand the rigors of off-road driving. The result is, among other things, new cold-forged aluminum hooks that are easier to operate, more robust and with a self-aligning closure that offers a secure hold on the external surfaces of the boot.

The result eliminated over 400 grams from the weight of the new Tech 10.

Reduced material volume

- The new design also reduces the profile and physical size of the Tech 10. It is more streamlined thanks to new lighter and stronger composite materials and a more integrated approach to component manufacturing that dynamically improve the structure of the boot using more advanced bonding processes. - A landmark innovation on the Tech 10 is the introduction of the patented Alpinestars Frontal Flex Frame.

- Combined with dual front and rear blade connectors, the Frontal Flex Frame gives the Tech 10 a complete, seamless flex control system, from the foot to the tibial plate, offering dual high-performance motion control, preventing hyperextensions and hypercompressions, with:

- Calibrated frontal flex control offered by a dual-density TPU connection system that joins the double-hook lower plate with the upper blade connector, hook and shin guard. Designed to "float" freely between the bottom and top, the Frontal Flex Frame acts as a shock absorber, distributing energy across the structure of the boot, controlling forward and backward flex, absorbing and dampening impact energy.

- Double asymmetric arm on the structure of the boot.

- A unique feature of the Tech 10 is the ankle control system, developed on the external shell, which allows natural ankle movement, vertical compression control and greater impact protection.

- Medial and lateral asymmetric double pivot system to improve the level of flexibility and precision for independent and synchronized movements. The higher positioning of the medial post reduces the volume of material in the lower area of ??the boot, making room for the patented ankle reinforcement system for greater freedom of movement and control. - Inside the exclusive, very light co-injected one-piece foot structure we find the patented Dynamic Heel Compression Protector (DHCP), an innovative safety solution that includes a collapsible heel area integrated with expanded polyfoam to absorb the energy of impact in the event of a fall. The DHCP boasts a directional impact protection system, which significantly reduces the effect of excessive energy transmission to the ankle and calf. DHCP has been used by Alpinestars athletes in the harsh environments of professional Supercross and Motocross.

New internal ankle reinforcement

- One of the most important features of the Tech 10 is the redesigned biomechanical internal ankle reinforcement. A

patented technology that boasts:

- Lighter and more anatomical, compact lateral and medial torsion bars with a greater range of movement and control. Combined with the external structure of the boot, the ankle protector offers vertical and lateral protection from ankle compression and leg rotation, and the dampening of torsional forces during a fall while still ensuring freedom of movement.

- Double pivot system allows the Tech 10 to maintain integrity in flexion, which eliminates the need for alternative torsion bars for different ankle widths, and above all offers progressive resistance to vertical and rotational forces which can otherwise cause damage very high at the ankles, knees, thighs and pelvis if they are not dampened in a controlled manner.

- New low profile pull-on design to reduce material volume, weight and make donning easier and quicker.

- Innovative flex inserts work seamlessly with the Tech 10's flex support system for maximum performance.

- TPU padding to absorb impacts on the heels and ankles, with an ultra-thin and flexible forefoot area to improve sensitivity and control.

Anatomical tibia and calf plates

- The design of the Tech 10 is slimmer and more streamlined, with an ergonomically shaped dual-compound calf protector that wraps around the back of the leg and combines with the rear blade system. Protection improves thanks to the progressive damping of excess torsional forces. The energy-dissipating tibial plate features a new anatomical design to reduce weight and surface area.

Unique sole integration

- Completely redesigned sole with proprietary grip tread to improve grip on the footrests, grip and dispersion of mud and water. The exclusive dual-compound sole is perfectly integrated into the multi-density foot structure with integrated support. The sole offers greater durability, grip and driving feeling, with better shifting performance. The midsole insert features a lateral micro-grip design. It is easily replaceable, and Alpinestars offers a complete repair and resoling service.

Hook closure system

- Anatomically optimized and redesigned for lightness and ergonomics, the new three-hook closure system boasts a nylon and fiberglass blend to improve strength and durability. New thinner hooks include high-strength, cold-forged fasteners for improved strength and precision. The closure system is equipped with a double safety lock and a self-aligning quick coupling and release system, with memory, for easy and precise closure and better performance and safety qualities. All buckles are replaceable.

Innovative, Lightweight Upper:- The Tech 10's construction combines advanced, lightweight microfiber with an impact- and abrasion-resistant TPU shell.

- Foot structure with five different compounds in a single lightweight piece to offer strength while maintaining flexibility and structural integrity. The foot area integrates toe and heel protections that are highly resistant to abrasion and impacts, improving the overall robustness of the boot. The footwell has an integrated plate to offer support and structural integrity.

- Double closure front protection with internal microfibre flap, Velcro register for precise closure under the hook which offers greater precision with easy to operate micro-adjustment. Soft microfiber edge that helps protect from dirt and water.

- Poly-fabric interior with 3D open cell foam that integrates a non-slip suede area on the heel, keeping the foot in place inside the boot.
